We summited The Eiger on August 12th 2023 at 1.45pm BST. It’s basically a knife edge exposed ridge (AD grade) and you do question yourself at times - especially when looking down the infamous 1,800 metre (5,900FT) North Face (The Wall of Death)!

Stuart Macdonald Guiding was brilliant at guiding and it took us 8hrs 45 mins to scale 3,967m (13,015FT) to top out and back down. It was a 72hr round trip from the UK to Grindelwald, Switzerland, and back, with logistics organised by Hermione Tailyour of 360 Expeditions. Fund raising was for The Matt Hampson Foundation and the ClockTower Foundation.
