In December 2025 Julian, and three other rowers in a four man boat, rowed across the Atlantic competing in the World’s Toughest Row. The crossing was c.3,000 miles from La Gomera (Canary Islands) to Antigua (Caribbean) and took c.38 days. Their team name was Seas Life, they finished 9th out of 43 boats, and raised c.£400,000 for The Matt Hampson Foundation, Clocktower Foundation, My Name’5 Doddie & Cure Parkinson’s.
Lead sponsor was Runwood Homes but also included sponsorship partners Barchester Healthcare, Hadrian Healthcare, LNT Care Developments, Maria Mallaband Care Group, Avery Healthcare, Caring Homes Group & BondCare.
